The lecture topic: Necrobotics: The Bio-Hybrid Revolution
Abstract
This lecture explores necrobotics as an emerging frontier within mechanical engineering and bio-hybrid systems, focusing on the integration of biologically derived structures into robotic design. It examines principles of bio-hybrid actuation and hydraulic architectures inspired by natural organisms, alongside developments in soft robotics, micromanipulation, and necro-mechanical interfaces. Emphasis is placed on simulation-driven design, system predictivity, and the role of AI-assisted control in enhancing performance and adaptability.
By bridging advanced engineering methodologies with data-driven modeling, the session highlights how necrobotics can inform next-generation robotic systems with improved precision, flexibility, and efficiency. It further discusses translational applications across robotics, surgical instrumentation, and precision engineering, positioning bio-hybrid approaches as a promising pathway for innovation in adaptive and intelligent systems
