FIELD OF STUDY: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

The Electrical Engineering studies comprise various courses related to the field of electrical engineering. Within the seven-semester undergraduate studies, students obtain a carefully chosen set of general and technical courses as well as foreign languages and humanistic subjects. The theoretical knowledge and skills obtained during B.Sc studies can be deepened and expanded during M.Sc. studies.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING:
•    Regular, undergraduate studies with B.Sc. academic degree (Polish, 7 semesters)
•    Regular, postgraduate studies with M.Sc. academic degree:
Electrical Power Engineering (Polish, 3 semesters)
Industrial Electrical Engineering (Polish, 3 semesters)
Renewable Energy Sources (Polish, 3 semesters)
Control in Electrical Power Engineering (English, 4 semesters)
Renewable Energy Systems (English, 4 semesters)

•    Part-time, undergraduate studies with B.Sc. academic degree (Polish, 8 semesters)
•    Part-time, postgraduate studies with M.Sc. academic degree:
Electrical Power Engineering (Polish, 4 semesters)
Industrial Electrical Engineering (Polish, 4 semesters)

•    Regular Ph.D. studies

The Programme Control in Electrical Power Engineering is run together by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland) and two other foreign Universities: Ryerson University in Toronto (Canada) and Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus (Germany). The programme Renewable Energy Systems is offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland) and two other foreign Universities: Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg (Germany) and Irkutsk State Technical University (Russia). The programmes comprise four-semesters split up into three theory semesters and finally a Master Thesis semester. The 4-week industrial placement is a part of the studies as well. Our programmes are aimed at preparing the students to an international environment, as they will encounter it during their later engineering career. We also put a lot of effort in making young graduates apply innovatively the acquired knowledge and qualifications, so that they are high class professionals, able to formulate and solve the problems and to face the challenges of the labour market of this day and age. The programmes are focused on new and challenging issues of power system automation and control and renewable energy sources. They are devoted to the candidates interested in work related to electric power system control, reliability, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, protection and decision-making in power systems, energy market issues etc.

FIELD OF STUDY: AUTOMATION AND ROBOTICS

The Automation and Robotics studies comprise various courses related to the interdisciplinary problems from the field of automation of industrial processes as well as control of complex plants and systems of generation, distribution and usage of electrical energy. Within the seven-semester undergraduate studies students obtain a carefully chosen set of general and technical courses as well as foreign languages and humanistic subjects. The theoretical knowledge and skills obtained during B.Sc studies can be deepened and expanded during M.Sc. studies.

AUTOMATION AND ROBOTICS:
•    Regular, undergraduate studies with B.Sc. academic degree (Polish, 7 semesters)
•    Regular, postgraduate studies with M.Sc. academic degree:
Automation and Control in Electrical Power Systems (Polish, 3 semesters )
Automation of Machines, Vehicles and Apparatus (Polish, 3 semesters)

FIELD OF STUDY: MECHATRONICS

The 7-semeter Mechatronics studies comprise various courses related to the fields of mechanics, electrical engineering, information technology, metrology, automation and robotics. Within the seven-semester basic studies students obtain a carefully chosen set of general and technical courses as well as foreign languages and humanistic subjects.

MECHATRONICS:
•    Regular, undergraduate studies with B.Sc. academic degree in interdisciplinary field based on cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Microsystems Electronics and Photonics (Polish, 7 semesters)
